BP wrapped up their 2011-2012 year with a term called Year End Studies (YES Term). Students finished projects and work from the year while also taking part in service work at Resurrection Park Cemetery, hiking Mt. Mansfield, and an end of year celebration.
A handful of our students had the opportunity to travel to Nicaragua for their service trip in January. Here they helped supervise coffee camps for children whose parents were away working in the coffee plantations.
Students traveled to Boston for a 7 day service learning trip in January. They participated in homeless outreach projects, community projects in Cambridge on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and did some service at the Franklin Park Zoo.

The Big Picture school in Rochester was affected by flooding from Hurricane Irene. Students from BPSB spent a day helping to build shelves, reorganize and paint the art room, and other small projects.
Called to action on their second day of the school year, BPSB students spent a day helping those devastated by Hurricane Irene in Moretown and Waterbury.
Big Picture kicked off the 2011-12 school year with a camping trip to Underhill State Park.
